The  Hitachi KP-FD140GV is based on the industrial camera interface standard GigE Vision, providing data transfer rates of up to 1 gigabit per second over distances of 100 meters far exceeding that of Firewire 800 or camera link technologies.

Camera power, control and data all share a single Ethernet cable and may connect directly to a compatible PC.
